The United Nations Organization or simply United Nations is an international organization whose stated aims are facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, and achievement of world peace. On the 31 of October 1947 the United Nations General Assembly established the 24th of October to be the United Nations Day in order to familiarize the global community with the aims and achievements of the United Nations Organization and of course get the support for their activities. On the 19th of December 1972 the United Nations General Assembly decided to create a new holiday the World Development Information Day. The World Food Day is held on the 16th of October
In 1945, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations established the 16th of October to be the World Food Day. This annual holiday reminds people about the problem of starvation and gives opportunity to think over the ways of its solving. To celebrate Millennium, on the 15th of October 2000, in the downtown of Paris, Montmartre, was built the Love Wall or as it is also called “I Love You: The Wall” (LE MUR DES JE T’AIME). The wall is a monument dedicated to true love, a place of reunion, a mirror which reflects an image of peace, a meeting place for lovers.
